Raspberry Pi

The Raspberry Pi was originally created to introduce and promote basic IT skills in schools. It has been a much bigger success than expected. Its open design, affordable price and modularity allow it to be used in a wide range of applications. For example, it can be used to monitor the weather. Computer and electronics hobbyists prefer to use it. It has HDMI and standard USB inputs. Several of their products are available on the market. After the launch of the Raspberry Pi, they also introduced the Raspberry Pi Zero. Just a few years later, the next model was released, the Raspberry Pi 3 B+. A few years later, the Raspberry Pi 4 B was introduced. A few years later, the Raspberry Pi Pico and Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W were released.

The hardware of Raspberry Pi products has been continuously improved. Attention was paid to memory capacity, networking developments and external peripheral connectivity. The processor speed varies between 700 MHz and 1.4 GHz. MicroSD cards can be inserted in the devices. The memory of the models has steadily increased over time. While the very first Raspberry Pi had 256 MB, the Raspberry Pi 4 is now available with 8GB of memory. The screen resolution is also capable of displaying images in the HD and Full HD quality that is now considered a minimum. The Raspberry Pi can also run a range of other operating systems. It primarily offers Debian-based Linux for download, but other operating systems can also be installed. The Python and Scratch programming languages are primarily promoted. By default the firmware is closed source, but there is also an unofficial open source firmware available.
