Brass Nozzle

General purpose, low cost, great for printing materials that don't have anything abrasive in them. Brass has a great balance of properties; thermally conductive, machines precisely and easily even with very small nozzles (see [V6 0.15mm High Precision Nozzles]), doesn't corrode or pit so retains a smooth surface finish for cleanly laying down extruded filament.

Vulnerable to abrasive erosion by more exotic filaments like carbon-fibre filled materials, metal powder filled materials and glow in the dark. Can be damaged by nasty head crashes with things like bulldog clips and glass. Using a wire brush on a brass nozzle will cause wear over time.

Compatible with any 3D printers that use the E3D V6 ecosystem (M6 thread), including Prusa i3 and i3 MK2 3D printers. The internal geometry of V6 Nozzles is optimised to reduce back-pressure, ensuring a smooth, easy flow of filament while improving the effectiveness of retraction.

The flat surface tip of the nozzle which flattens down the layer is custom machined to each nozzle size. A small nozzle tip gives you high precision, and a wide nozzle tip assists in the smooth printing of larger layers.

All nozzles in the series are now individually identifiable with markings on the flats of the hex head making them even more convenient to work with. See the table on the left for identification
